Heard “Listen” by Michelle Tumes many times, but this time, it was like hearing it for the first time.

I was hearing the song,”Listen” by Michelle Tumes this evening. I had one of those moment’s when you hear a song, at the right time, at the right moment. It was a song I needed to hear. If you have not heard it, it’s a must hear. The song was so clear to me. Yet I know that it is very clear, I had a moment, where I REALLY heard the lyric’s. There are times when one can hear a song a million times, and not REALLY hear the song. You hear the song, and the lyric’s over and over again, and yet, the song remain’s the same. You hear it as a beautiful, or a simple song, until, you suddenly, REALLY hear the song. You REALLY hear the lyric’s. They come alive. And you realize what the singer is trying to say. You realize what God is trying to tell you. I had this kind of moment earlier. I was listening to the song, and suddenly, God spoke to me. I REALLY heard the song, I REALLY heard the lyric’s. It was then I realized what this song meant. Though it should have been completely clear to me the first time I heard it, it was not. Till this time I heard it. Some would say this is silly of me, not to be able to interpret the meaning of the lyric’s. But we all do it sometimes, I am sure I am not the only one whom has gone through this. As I begun to listen to the song, I knew what God was telling me, and what the lyric’s meant. The lyric’s of the song mean, well simply what the title is, “Listen”. It means listen to His voice. Listen to Him speak. He tries to speak, but we sometimes don’t listen to Him. He was tugging at my heart, and I finally let go. This is what the song also interpret’s. That He sometimes tug’s at our heart’s, but we ignor Him. He tries to speak, but we are not Listening to Him, or for His voice. This song may be simple, but it is also beautiful. I am telling you this, because, well, we are not perfect. We all fall short sometimes. I love Jesus with all my heart, I only want to please Him, but I needed a tug, and sure enough, He tugged. God sometimes uses the simplest of thing’s, to tell us thing’s. Just as He used this song to tug at me. It was a beautiful moment, and I thank my God for it. I hope this was not to much for you to read? But I also hope, you take something out of this, even if it is, simple.
